...it's been awhile...

...sooo...I was checking out a friend on facebook's xanga page...and remembered that I had one...haha...it took me an embarrassingly long time to figure out how to write a new weblog...it's been so long...but here I am...over a year past my last entry...

...I don't really know what to say, though...a lot has changed...a lot hasn't...but it's all good...

Today I'm grateful...for sleep***for my fuzzy blanket***for a nice, warm shower***for Luden's throat drops***that they finally sung my song at church***for the Willard's special...and that David sung (ever so softly) with them today***for Jeff's sermon***for after church time***for a Spring-like day***for lunch with the daddy, Carly, Barney and Pat***for catfish with tarter sauce...green beans...pinto beans...burnt okra...and coffee***for my goofy daughter and crazy mother-in-law***for rocking chairs***for a 15 minute power nap...HAH!!!***for Mac's voice and words...and Third Day's music***for the setting sun and sky***for book lights***for getting to hear and sing along with my song tonight...and that Jesse and Tyler played their guitars and Jeff played the drums for it***for Jeff's sermon***for some very good pretzels***for fun with David...and my camera***for after church time***for dinner with the daddy and Jesse***for chicken McNuggets...and bottled water...and part of the daddy's cheeseburger...

...today we celebrated Pat's birthday how she wanted to celebrate it...by going to "The Place" and PetSmart...(and a few other stores)...she got her free dessert and a new fish...which I dubbed "Bull" because he's huge and there's an unusually large space between his eyes like a couple of bulls that my grandad had...she apparently liked the name because she kept it...thus far, anyway...haha...

...just to let you know...some of the things that I put in my grateful list are intentionally misspelled...some words I write like Kim says them...like chalad for salad...and LobbyLobby for HobbyLobby...just because I love her....and love the way she says them and we've kindof adopted them in our family...so there you go...I'd probably write a lot more of her words if I could figure out how to spell them...haha...

Today I'm grateful...for some sleep***for temperatures above freezing***for going for donuts with the daddy***that the daddy decided to go with us***for Luden's throat drops***for the clearance wall at LobbyLobby***for some new books***for lunch at "The Place"...haha***for the dippers sampler...bread with butter...shrimp with tarter sauce...chicken tenders...grilled vegetables...and garlic cheese grits...cherry Coca-Cola...and a little of Pat's chocolate butter mess***for a few more new books***for time spent with the daddy, Barney and Pat***for the settting sun***for the Smiths' and Bro. Wylie and Christine and Wanda...and time spent with them***for listening to Melissa, Jeff and the daddy sing "Mighty To Save" while Jesse and Tyler played their guitars***for old pictures and new pictures***for the moon***for some new movies to watch***for Alka-Seltzer...

...I finally got rid of our pumpkin today...haha...it had been sitting outside under a tree since...like the first of October...and I meant to get rid of it the day after Thanksgiving...but that just didn't happen...it had kindof sunken inside itself at the top...and I've had to handle mushy pumpkins before...so...I kept putting it off...but this morning while I was walking down to the end of the driveway to bring the trash barrel back up to the house...while sleet was falling down...I thought...I bet it's frozen enough that it won't fall apart if I pick it up...so I tried it...and I was right...so I threw it in the backyard...and just maybe by next October...we'll have grown our own pumpkin...haha...I think that actually happened one year...or was that a watermelon?...hmmm...I don't remember......

...today...while I was filling up the sinks to wash dishes...I was enjoying watching the birds outside of my kitchen window so much that the water was just seconds away from overflowing...with me standing right there......

Today I'm grateful...for some sleep***for my fuzzy blanket***for a nice, warm shower***for a very good cup of coffee***that I finally got rid of our pumpkin***for the birds on their feeders outside of my kitchen window***that the water didn't overflow into the floor***for grilled cheese sandwiches***for a productive day***for time spent with Barney, Pat and Kim***for the beautimous trees on the way to Fort Smith***for Kim's excitement over the Red Lobster...haha***for garlic cheese biscuits, chalad, three kinds of shrimp with tarter sauce, a baked potato, Coca-Cola...and some kindof chocolate chip lava thing for dessert***that we made it safely there and back***for hugs***for Alka-Seltzer...haha...

...this morning I went to take some rolls of film to Wal-Mart at 9:30 a.m....and there was some employees standing outside under their little pavillion smoking in 28-degree weather!!!...I really don't understand people who smoke...not only does it make you, your clothes and your breath stink...but why spend great amounts of money slowly killing yourself?...I don't get it...granted, there was a very, very short time in school when I smoked less than one cigarette each morning...a very, very short time when I apparently thought stupidity = cool...but...you know...I was stupid...and it doesn't "taste" good...there's not like a high or anything...so I don't get the point...I don't think there's any smokers who read this...I don't think there's anyone who reads this...but if you read this and you smoke...feel free to enlighten me of the attraction of smoking...if you can...

...today was not a good day...'twas pretty tough...it's sooo cold and gray...and cold...I wanted to just stay under my fuzzy blanket all day...but I didn't...I'm doing pretty good, I think...this is the first real bad day I've had in awhile...so, yeah...
